FDA certification is one of the authorizations needed to sell foodstuffs in the United States of America. The FDA safeguards the public’s health by strictly monitoring all the products which enter the USA, to make sure that they respect the laws and regulations and meet specific requirements.
Every company applying for an organic, or “Bio”, certification has to undergo a series of inspections of the whole production process. Organic food must not be treated with any artificial flavorings, coloring or sweeteners, and must not contain any genetically modified organisms (GMO).
The cultivation, the processing and the distribution of organic products, as well as their importation, is regulated by European laws defining production norms, control systems, labeling standards and procedures for importing them from non-EU countries.
The Eco Cosmetics Certification certifies that the raw materials used for production are organic or harvested in the wild, and that the products do not contain any materials with a questionable environmental impact, or any non-vegetable materials that are considered potentially dangerous. In addition, it certifies that the packaging is designed to reduce environmental impact connected to unnecessary or non-recyclable packaging, and attests that the product has no undesirable effects on humans, a low environmental impact, and is dermocompatible.
